Hello hello and hello...

How are you all beautiful people out there??

The other day I was playing with clay and thought why not make ear rings. And after organizing all my craft supplies I feel like doing something :). As I find everything in place.

Follow my craft supply organization series on the blog. You would find it interesting.

I found some beads while cleaning up my shelf. And I thought of making cute little ear rings.

And then some terracotta clay ear rings :)

I had fun doing it. If you want to know the procedure then do comment. I would do a tutorial with pictures.

Organizing craft supplies PART I

1:19:00 AM Pooja 0 Comments

Hello my dear readers,

How are you my dear friends..? I am here with some organizing ideas and tip.It would be very useful for all of you if you have very small space like mine to keep your craft supplies.

It becomes very difficult if you have limited space and on top of that if you can not do any structural modifications. I have top shelf of a cupboard to keep all my supplies. And like all the crafters I am also fond of buying new things every now and then.

I had bought few corrugated boxes of same size and categorized and labeled my supplies. However, it was never functional.I always had to open each box and see as they were not transparent. And all the craft papers were BIG mess. And the sad things was I was not able to use full space.

Let me show you glimpse of how it was :

My main aim and motto of this organization :
1. Maximize the space
2. Make all accessible
So, Part I brings you organization of papers.I have decided to use the boxes I already have at home in some different way.
Take any flat rectangular box and cut it from front as shown in picture. Take any tall box like below and remove its lid.

Then colour both of them. I decided to go with red and decorate it with some laces. Do not put lot of time in decorating or you will forget your aim of organizing :)

Then using glue gun stick them to the door! make sure you are able to close the door properly after that.
And there goes my duplex crepe papers and wires and pollens. Have a look yourself:

Art Journal : Page3 : Cheers to LIFE!!

6:03:00 AM Pooja 0 Comments

Hello and very Good evening to All..

In India, its the fever of cricket that has catch hold of many people. It has become good entertainment for guys after coming home from office. They have some reason to argue with their wives to let them watch TV. I guess it might be the story every house in India.

For many people, its a long long weekend.People must have gone out with their families for short trips. Unfortunately I neither took off nor cricket is something that can keep me glued to Television set.So, I am working while my kiddo and husband are enjoying lazy day.

I am here with one more Art Journal page. Life and my perspective. Its Abraham Lincon's quote.
"Its not the years in your life that count. Its the Life in years"

My view of this quote is not exactly what Mr.Lincon must have intended. What I think is, its definitely not an achievement if you live longer. What matters is how much you have lived in those years. How much you have enjoyed each small moment of life. Laughed at yourself. Laughed at the situation you are into. Always found something positive and beautiful to live for. Have you ever done what you wanted to do or scummed to our great society's expectation.

I have always been very rebellious girl. I never gave power to anyone make me sad about myself or my life.Life is about loving. Life is about smiling.Life is about learning.Life is about making yourself happy.Do love others and take care of them but always be open and clear about your views.

Mr. Lincon definitely did not mean all this. So this is Me' for you.CHEERS to LIFE!!

Organize your kitchen drawers

8:03:00 AM Pooja 0 Comments

Hello everyone..
How are you all my dear readers? It is so so hot in Bangalore. Last year Bangalore was so much better. I wonder how April and May would be :( I was just thinking and just day dreaming about writing the blog post. But it took me real push from inside to actually do it. :)
I had promised myself that I would be regular and keep my blog up to date this year. Now though I have done few things related to craft or art or organization, I haven't captured them properly. And to be very very honest. My mind is always occupied with such ideas. But I can not implement them all.
I would also like to confess one truth. Though I am a married woman and Mom of a kid, I do not know much in cooking. I was never interested in learning to cook.It does not make me happy. I was also never much of foodie type. Hence organizing something in kitchen is achievement for me :)
I had very very tough time keeping these plastic boxes in order. I could never achieve it. I have all types and sizes of boxes. Every time  you order something from restaurent they provide it in plastic box. I don't know what to do with so many. Because I have many many of them.
So this is how I got started :
IMP : Throw all the boxes you dont want before you start organizing
Step 1 : Gather all the cereal, chocos boxes
Step 2 : Categorize the box lids
Step 3 : Put the lids in the box as per the category

Arrange the the big boxes/Kids Lunch boxes in a different drawer to make it easy to access.

And now stack the boxes together whose lids are in one cardboard box.

Bluebirds singing along

5:24:00 AM Pooja 0 Comments

A very good evening to all my dear readers,

It feels as if its being long long time since I wrote the last post.I am on small vacation :).
Enjoyed my few days with my parents and relatives.Had a great time. And still have weekend to spend with old friends. These small breaks makes you happy and prepares you for the routine.

I also got a tattoo done ;). It was painful, no doubt about it. But feels so different when you do something out of track. I feel like we should not be make our views about anything unless we ourselves read about it or understand it or do it.

So those were some latest updates! Now coming back to my favorite paper quilling art. How is it?

I have tried something different than what I usually do in paper quilling. First I did the drawing with pencil and paper. Then decided how do I want the final results to be. And finally here is the outcome.

I loved those two little birds..it looks peaceful.

How does this background look like?? I was just trying different backgrounds.
